Washing cars is a profitable business if you can do it right - but what is the right way?

A simple hand car wash is £5 - and you can wash 12 cars an hour - but is that where the real profit is?

Here is what I did with a car-wash business to triple their profits in less than 5 weeks.

1. I got them to recommend SYSTEMATICALLY. When someone came in to get their car washed, they wanted to make sure a good job was done and they were willing to pay - most car wash owners just follow a customers demand - I made them ask the customers for upgrades such as Waxing, Drying, Wheel polishing - that simple system increased the business profits by over 50%.

2. I made sure customers came back again and again by educating them about why their car needs washing, how often is needs washing, what we use that makes their car shine, what we use that keeps their paintwork safe and long enduring. We made sure they never went anywhere else for their car to be washed - we made sure they didn't.

3. We added car accessories at the car wash where customers could stop and buy, we created a small brochure of accessories for their cars.

4. We gave away branded car fragrance which made them come back again for a fresh one.

5. We compiled a database of customers and made those customers refer their friends and family for FREE car washes - because we knew once they washed JUST ONCE with us - they'd never use anyone else!

These are just some of the things I implemented which boosted their profits.
